Larry advises undergraduate students; teaches introductory courses and agricultural business communications; coordinates assessment of student learning, placement reports, and course and curriculum revisions; advises a student organization; and represents the unit on departmental and college committees. Larry is former associate dean of academic programs for the Kansas State University College of Agriculture and is a former coordinator of the agricultural journalism program. He also served as a national adviser of Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow and is an active member of Association for Communication Excellence (ACE), National Agricultural Alumni and Development Association, National Association of State Universities and Land Grant Colleges, and North American Colleges and Teachers of Agriculture.
