Gina oversees departmental human resource and fiscal operations, interpreting university, state, and federal policies, procedures, and guidelines for departmental faculty and staff; initiates faculty and staff recruitment and provides guidance to search committees; and facilitates departmental grant administration. In conjunction with the department head, Gina establishes and administers the departmental budget and policies and oversees distribution of K-State Research and Extension educational materials and organizational mailing and shipping operations.

Gina is a member of the Society of Human Resources and serves the Human Resource Management Network as professional development and scholarship director.
