Dr. Ulmer specializes in agricultural education. He teaches a variety of classes preparing students for a career as a high school agriculture teacher. His courses include agricultural mechanics, philosophy, FFA management, and the profession of Agricultural Education
Prior to coming to KSU, Dr. Ulmer served on the faculty at Texas Tech University and the University of Missouri. Dr. Ulmer has served the profession on various boards, committees and areas of service. In 2023-2024 he was the Faculty Fellow for Graduate Student Support for the College of Agriculture at K-State.
