Maria Childs is a proud Kansas State University graduate with a strong foundation in storytelling, journalism, and strategic marketing. Before returning to her alma mater, she worked in newspaper journalism, contributed to the K-Stater magazine, and served as director of communications and public relations at the Kansas 4-H Foundation.

Maria is excited to be part of the university’s story and contribute to its mission in a meaningful way by promoting the Department of Communications and Agricultural Education through digital and print communications projects. Working alongside the team, she contributes to website management, social media content, and overall marketing strategy.
