Brad Beckman is a communications specialist with K-State Research and Extension. He facilitates strategic communications by helping clients define the message, develop media plans, create content, deliver timely communications, and assess impact. In addition to video news and features, he writes for the print media and website, produces radio news and features, provides still photography, and contributes to social media efforts.

Beckman's experience includes 24 years as a land-grant university communicator, specializing in video news and documentary work. Award-winning video productions from assignments in Central America and East Africa rank among his professional accomplishments. Before joining the land-grant system, Beckman worked for six years in commercial video production and three years in local broadcast and network news where he was a regular contributor to NBC Nightly News and the Today show.

Brad is currently serving as Vice President for ACE, the Association for Communications Excellence.

He maintains an Angus cow-calf herd and manages the family cattle ranch in Idaho from his home in Manhattan, Kansas.
