Dr. Burke teaches and advises students in agricultural communications and journalism; she also advises the K-State Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow chapter. Her teaching areas are environmental communication, strategic communication and principles of layout and design. With a background in natural resource management related to water and soil, Dr. Burke’s interests include: communication’s role in landowner decision-making, communication strategies for watershed management, and promoting partnerships in natural resource conservation.
