Richard has taught agricultural business communications since 2002 and audio/visual production since 2012. He also produces "Perspective," a weekly syndicated radio program.

Richard was formerly operations manager for KOWH AM/FM, Omaha; program and music director, KJCK AM/FM, Junction City; and news director KKSU-AM, Manhattan, Kan. He was coach and adviser of the Kansas State University Softball Club from 2001 to 2012.
